Speaking in an interview here before her performance at the annual event, now in its fourth edition, Yemi who was performing at the event for the first time said it has earned quite a name for itself.
“I think it’s a beautiful thing to know that the Mosi Day of Thunder holds every year here in Zambia. So basically, when you are bringing
all these international artistes to experience it, you are also bringing all the eyes of the other countries to see what is happening here,” she said.
The Nigerian Johnny singer who is on a WOS tour said she was grateful to have seen the Victoria Falls.
“For instance, I am grateful that as I got into the city, I was taken to the Victoria Falls and from my pictures alone, I believe a lot of people can’t wait to come this way,” she said.
She added: “…and thank God for social media, everything you put out there, the world is watching. So, I think this is the great avenue to showcase Zambia’s tourism, it’s great.”
Asked whether there is a possibility of including the Victoria Falls in one of her upcoming music videos, Yemi said she will need to come back.
“I will have to come back for that because my camera kept getting wet. But I really loved playing there since I love to play in the rain and the view is just beautiful. I felt like a kid once more,” she said.
